Hokkien Traditional Wedding Gift Box:

Tau Sa Piah 豆沙饼 x1 – Renowned for its flaky crust and sweet bean paste filling. Enjoyed during various occasions, notably weddings. Its texture is an interplay between the crispy crust and creamy bean paste. Therefore, symbolising harmony and abundance.

Often given as a gift, Tau Sa Piah’s:

• round shape represents unity
• sweetness signifies prosperity and good fortune for the newlyweds

Phong Piah 椪饼 x1 – Round-shaped biscuits with a golden-brown crust. The filling of Phong Piah is a harmonious blend of:

• caramelized malt sugar
• shallots
• lard

Thus, offering a unique combination of sweetness and savory notes. The malt sugar provides a rich caramel flavor, while the shallots add depth and aroma to the filling.

Bi Lao 米老 x1 – Also known as rice puff, has a light and crispy texture, providing a delicate crunchiness that enhances its enjoyment. It’s airy and slightly chewy, offering a satisfying mouthfeel with each bite.

Mua Lao 麻老 x1 – Crispy outer with soft insides coated with sesame seeds. Experience a delightful “chacha” sound when bitten.
